Accessibility Statement
Accessibility Statement
Date of preparation: 29 June 2026 Last updated: 29 June 2026
Sirn S.r.l. is committed to making its website https://www.sirn.it/ accessible, in line with applicable legislation on digital accessibility.
1. Regulatory references
This statement has been drawn up taking into account the following regulatory and technical references:
- Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies;
- Italian Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004 (the “Stanca Law”), as amended by Legislative Decree No. 106 of 10 August 2018, containing provisions to support access to IT services for persons with disabilities;
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), conformance level AA, the international reference standard for web content accessibility;
- European Accessibility Act – Directive (EU) 2019/882, on accessibility requirements for products and services, and the related national implementing decree (Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022), insofar as applicable to websites of private entities offering relevant products and services falling within the scope of that legislation.
Please note that Sirn S.r.l. is a private entity and that this website does not generally fall within the mandatory scope of the Stanca Law (which mainly applies to public administrations and specific categories of private entities). Sirn S.r.l. has nonetheless chosen, on a voluntary basis, to adopt the same reference standards as a best practice, with a view to ensuring the broadest possible accessibility of its content to all users, including persons with disabilities.
2. Compliance status
The website https://www.sirn.it/ has been designed and developed with reference to the AA-level success criteria of WCAG 2.1, with the aim of ensuring that content is:
- Perceivable: information and user interface components must be presented to users in ways they can perceive (e.g. alternative text for images, sufficient colour contrast between text and background);
- Operable: interface components and navigation must be operable, including via keyboard and assistive technologies;
- Understandable: information and the operation of the user interface must be understandable;
- Robust: content must be robust enough to be reliably interpreted by a wide range of assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers).
Based on an internal review carried out on the Website, the compliance status should be considered partially compliant with the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria: while most of the content is accessible, certain areas for improvement have been identified (set out below), for which corrective measures are already planned.
3. Non-accessible or partially accessible content
At present, the following elements have been identified as potentially presenting accessibility limitations, and are being addressed:
- Interactive maps (Google Maps): the maps embedded via the Google Maps service are provided by a third party, and their accessibility through assistive technologies (e.g. screen readers) depends on the standards adopted by the service provider (Google LLC), which are not under the direct control of the Website’s Controller. An accessible text alternative indicating the office address is, however, provided for the benefit of users who are unable to view or interact with the map itself;
- Any attached documents (e.g. in PDF format), should they be present on the Website and not yet fully compliant with digital document accessibility requirements, pending review and, where necessary, conversion into more accessible formats or accompanied by alternative text versions;
- Multimedia content that may be published in the future (e.g. videos), for which the addition of subtitles and text transcripts will be considered where relevant.
The Controller is committed to periodically monitoring the accessibility status of the Website and to updating this statement as the identified issues are resolved or as new issues arise.
4. Reporting methods and contact details
Should a user encounter difficulties accessing content or features of the Website, or wish to report accessibility issues, they may contact the Controller through the following channels:
Sirn S.r.l. Via del Lazzaretto Vecchio 9, 34123 Trieste (TS), Italy Email: trieste@sirn.it Phone: +39 040 304247
When submitting a report, users are encouraged to indicate, where possible:
- the page of the Website where the difficulty was encountered;
- a description of the problem encountered;
- the device, browser and/or assistive technology used, if any.
The Controller is committed to responding to reports within a reasonable timeframe and, in any case, to assessing the corrective action needed to resolve the reported issue.
5. Ongoing implementation
Sirn S.r.l. will continue its commitment to the ongoing review and improvement of the Website’s accessibility, including through periodic assessments, in order to progressively align its content with the WCAG 2.1 AA standard and with any future regulatory developments in this area.
This Accessibility Statement is prepared by Sirn S.r.l. on a voluntary basis as a matter of best practice and may be updated at any time to reflect the actual accessibility status of the Website.
